The Pacer Track Club board of directors has been working with USATF, USATF Three Rivers Association, Bethel Park Recreation department and others to put together a safe and exciting season. There will be some differences from past seasons, but we hope with everyone’s cooperation we can have a great experience.
-Location: All practices will be held at the Bethel Park Rec Center athletic fields on Park Ave.
-Practices: The athletes will be divided into small groups each with an adult coach leading their group through warmups and stretches. Each athlete must bring their own equipment and supplies. There will be no sharing of mats, water bottles, stopwatches, etc. Practice will be Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings from 6:00-7:30 starting on Monday, April 5th.
-Weather: We have historically practiced in rainy weather that wasn’t dangerous or extreme. This season we will need to keep a closer watch on the weather during our practice times. Stretching and warmups will be done “on the field” and exposed to the weather. We ask that all parents stay at practice if there is any chance of rainy weather.
-Spectators and guests: Only registered Pacer athletes will be permitted at practice. Parents are welcome to observe from a distance. Siblings friends, and other guests may observe from a distance with parental supervision.
-Meets: The meet schedules and details are still being worked out. More information to follow.
-Changes: All plans are subject to change quickly. Please monitor www.pacertrackclub.com and our Facebook group for up to date information. Registered athletes will receive official communication via TeamSnap.
-Registration: Cost will be $75, and a USATF membership will be required. Instructions for registration can be found at Joining The Team.
